IP Telephones
The excellent Siemens Gigaset cordless dect
phones comprise of a base station, cables and a single handset.
Additional handsets are available for purchase as the base can have up
to 6 handsets connected to it. The base can be connected to the
traditional BT socket and the Internet via an ethernet router (not
supplied). Three simultaneous calls can be held, One via the BT line
and Two via VoIP. WOW!
PC, Linux and Mac
Using reliable software you will be
able to make a receive calls via a computer when connected to the
internet. A headset or built-in audio will be required.
iPhone/HTC
The excellent Acrobits and SIP Droid
application allows VoIP calls to be made over a wifi and 3G*
connection. This system has been tried and tested all over the world
and has saved thousands of pounds in roaming charges when using wifi.
